Learn how to make custom-fitted leather moccasins by hand with Lougaya, just as if you were watching over her shoulder.

Over the course of this step-by-step video tutorial, Lougaya demonstrates how to make a pair of moccasins with laces in 3 different styles (under the ankle, above the ankle, and lined with sheepskin). The whole tutorial is about three and a half hours of teachings divided into small sections that are easy to view and replay at your own rhythm.

Along with the video tutorial, you will get a PDF tutorial that highlights all the details to remember in written explanations and clear images.

You will also get two whole sets of printable patterns (for the runners and for the boots) that will cover all sizes and morphology types from size 32 EU to 48 EU / 4 US women to 14 US men.

The great difference with most other moccasins and patterns that you can find on the market is that ours are made to be adjusted exactly to the morphology of each person.

We are convinced that even people without prior experience in leatherwork or sewing can complete this project quite easily.

With practice, a pair can be made in only 3 to 4 hours, but it would usually take about 1 day on the first trial.

What are the "Runners" Moccasins?

They are soft-soled shoes or barefoot-shoes. Made of 100% leather, they act and feel just like a second-skin. It is just a layer of soft leather between the ground and your feet.

They will well protect your feet from sharp objects, dirt, ECT; while at the same time allowing you to feel the ground’s texture.

They are suitable to where indoors and outdoors, although they will need to be re-soled once in a while for durability.

This design with laces have been thought to suit modern fashion and the needs of runners to have a stable and tightly-holding shoe while allowing the feet to move in the most natural way.

They can be made in different heights and with or without a warm inner lining.

The same techniques learned in this tutorial can be used to create other leather items.
You can also make your moccasins in other materials such as felt.
