"Heart" Moccasins / Custom-Made Barefoot-Shoes

This is the right place to order your custom-fitted leather moccasins. These are minimalist/barefoot moccasins made out of high-quality bull-calf leather. They are not finished yet because I custom-fit them to your size.

The shoe is made of a single piece of leather and does not have any plastic or rubber sole. In fact, you will have similar sensations as if you were walking barefoot while being well protected from rocky, pointy, sharp, prickly, or burning/cold grounds at the same time.

Even though they are closed shoes, the fact that they are 100% leather gives them very good qualities in terms of breathability and temperature regulation. This is why we like to wear them without socks (except in the winter).

They are suitable to wear indoors and outdoors and are water-resistant, although they are not recommended for cold and wet weather. In all cases, they will benefit from a regular coat of leather treatment.

The soft bull-calf leather I use is 2 mm thick. You will easily be able to walk for several months (outdoors) before needing to resoled them with leather or thin rubber crepe (see my tutorial: how to make sole and extra leather for the sole).

If you wear them outdoors on a regular basis, they will usually need to be resoled once to 4 times a year in rough landscapes. They can be resoled as many times as needed over time and if well taken care of, a pair can last for many years. The material for your first pair of soles is offered but for quality reasons, we are not able to glue the soles in advance for you. You would need to walk at least 2-3 weeks with them before adding a sole.

If you keep them indoors, they could withstand decades!

Generally speaking, these are suitable for feet from size 39-43 EU / 8-11 US. Can be longer if your foot is thin.

THIS DESIGN IS NOT RECOMMENDED IF YOU HAVE A HIGH ARCH and if you want a wider toe-box, we recommend the "Leaf" (two-colored) style listings.

Since each person has different feet, I will ask you for a few measurements and pictures of your feet. This will enable me to fit them as close as possible to your feet so that they can become a bit like a second skin. Within the first week of wearing them, the leather will also stretch a little to perfect the fitting.

I custom-make each pair and have a good rate of good fittings (8-9/10) yet there is also a risk that the fitting can go wrong, in such case, I will treat each case individually (including refund or sending another pair).

We would usually make and ship your moccasins within 3 days after receiving your measurements. Shipping from France usually takes about 7 to 15 days to the USA and up to 3 weeks for Australia and New Zealand.
